Van Ministry

Directed by Bobby Duvall

At New Town Baptist, the mission of our Van Ministry is inspired by the Master’s words in Luke 14:23, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

Our Van Ministry provides free transportation for anyone within a 5 mile radius of New Town Baptist Church for Sunday Services: Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday Evening Service at 6:00 p.m.

On Wednesday evenings, our 3 Vans run 2 loads each to bring children to our AWANA program, where they are served a meal at 6:10 p.m., and then participate in youth and children’s Bible teaching classes, recreation, and music. AWANA ends at 8:30 p.m. and we make every effort to have all riders home by 9:30 p.m.

Our Drivers are volunteers from our church who love the Lord and view their participation as a privilege to serve others and an opportunity to be active in spreading the Gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have ever-lasting life.” John 3:16

NTBC Drivers are mature adults. Each has been screened for clean background and driving record.  Each route has both a Driver and an Assistant on board who oversees the riders to ensure that all van riders have their safety belts fastened, in accordance to Georgia Law, and that all safety rules are followed.

If you have questions or need a ride, you can contact the church office at 706-629-4641, or Van Ministry Director Bobby Duvall at (Home) 706-625-2617  (Cell) 770-881-1379
